Fuchsia with Yellow Center Zinnia

The Purple Prince Zinnia lives up to its royal name—bold, elegant, and full of charm. Painted with vibrant, high-quality watercolor on premium paper, this piece captures the flower's rich purple petals and its delightful crown of tiny yellow florets at the center.

Purple is often associated with royalty and creativity, making this bloom a fitting symbol of majesty and joy. With blooms that range from single layers to lush, multi-petal structures, zinnias are perfect for adding color and life to vibrant bouquets. Their sturdy stems and long vase life make them exceptional cut flowers.

Zinnias are not only beautiful—they're edible too! Add a splash of color to a salad or dessert (though personally, I say they’re too pretty to eat!). Whether grown as annuals or self-seeding wonders, these flowers are true garden showstoppers.

My Zinnia Story:

I often photograph flowers on my walks and let the inspiration come later. But this one—this one—I knew instantly would be my next painting. The vibrance, the size, and those tiny yellow flowers circling the center captivated me from the moment I saw it. I didn’t even scroll through my other photos. It had already claimed its place “on the board.”

I hope this Purple Prince brings the same joy to your space as it did to my studio.
